Song and Dance Festival

On March 15, the traditional Song and Dance Festival was held at Payu school, in which students of grades 1-5 took part. The children and teachers rehearsed a lot and the holiday turned out to be very joyful and bright. The combined ensemble performed the song Mu koduke. Pupils of grades 1a, 4c and 5f prepared the Kalli-Kalli dance, grade 2 performed Kaerajaan, students of grades 4a and 5a showed us the dance Plaks ja pliks, and grade 3a suggested that everyone learn a new dance game Ei taha.

"My Estonia" - reading contest

On March 14, on Mother Language Day, a traditional reading competition was held in Pai school. This year, the Council of the Cause decided that our competition will be dedicated to our country, which is why it was called “My Estonia”. All students, from the youngest to the graduates, take part in the competition. This year the children read works in Russian, Estonian and English.

Cultural ambassadors

In February, the Kultuurisaadiku programm (Ambassadors of Culture) was launched. 34 schools of Ida-Virumaa are participating in the program, among them the Narva Paju School.
The program is designed for a year. During this time, teachers and students will visit different parts of our country, get acquainted with folk traditions, visit many museums and memorable places, and be able to get to know Estonian culture better.
